We Go Liquid

A boy on the verge of adolescence receives an email from his mother offering free movie tickets shortly after her death. Sophisticated enough to recognize it for spam, but naïve enough to wish she'd really sent it—not to mention, hoping to impress the older, artistically-inclined girl from across the street (who may or may not be looking for a nude model)—the boy responds, and is soon barraged with offers for male enhancements drugs, home appliances, mortgages, and everything else he never knew he wanted, from all over the world by way of the afterlife. Soon, he and his father are maxing out credits cards, swallowing all manner of black market pharmaceuticals, and growing, somehow, closer together as they fall apart . . .
